While channel-surfing, I just came across Al Roker talking about this year's Christmas tree at the Rockefeller Center. He explained that the tree-- "which was near the end of its lifespan" (by whose accounting, I wonder?)-- was cut with a handsaw to conserve energy. . . . . . . Ha ha ha ha ha!
Well, thank you, NBC (or whoever), for saving the world! Heaven only knows how much energy you'd have wasted if you'd used a chainsaw! ;o)
